West Masi Street

Is it a coincidence when two people want to meet each other and in a matter of a week or day bump into each other? On the way from the Nilgiris to my home town Chennai, I was visiting the temple city of Madurai. Heading towards the Meenakshi Sundareswar temple I was telling my pilot (of Scooty Pep) that I wanted to meet an old acquaintance of mine from my younger days. But he wasnt sure where he was living right now nor had his phone number. On the way, we had a puncture and were delayed a bit. Closer to the temple, we took the road to the South Gopuram instead of the town hall road.

And there he was standing outside the coffee shop. The one whom I had wanted to meet. He greeted me with "100 years! ("noor aayusu" in our native tamil). Over a cup of tea (remember we had coffee opposite Medical college while the puncture was being fixed), Visweswaran, I had been thinking of you since last week. Me and my friend here have been trying to put a game (chess players know game = a game of chess, right?) we liked on internet. I remembered you used to run some website. What was it...Chathurangam? The idea is to have a site where any one can put the game they like (tasted & savoured). The name I have in mind is 'Chess Tasty'. "

So here is it, dear Thirunagalingam sir, whom I met this night on West Masi street.
